Chris D'Asta Lives Art and Science.
Growing up in the late Seventies, Eighties and Nineties I was heavily inspired by the films and music of the era. From Misfits to Dead Kennedys to Star Wars and Evil Dead I was certain, at an early age, that art and music were my jobs, in perpetuity. Mom wanted a lawyer, Dad wanted a craftsman.
They technically got both.
ART
The visual arts can be evocative, emotion inducing and life changing. The psychology of colour and content can make or break a product. When you are ready to share your music with the world the complimentary art and layout can skyrocket you to successes or subject you to anonymity in the gigantic world that is the internet. SCIENCE
Geddy Lee sang "All this machinery making modern music can still be open-hearted" on Rush's 'Spirit of Radio'. I have been building workstations dedicated to 2D and 3D art, music and video for 22 years. However I felt for a long while that working in a digital framework was somehow cheating.
